Shift of CG tool available in RCDC helps to generate the column elevation maintaining one of the face constant for column having varying dimensions along height. There is no Impact on forces, the column design remains same. The Rebar arrangement in Column elevation and BBS gets updated.

Gravity Column Design in RCDC
RCDC can design Gravity Columns along with Lateral Columns as per ‘Ductile Design (Seismic Detailing)’ norms and performs the design accordingly. Gravity column design is conforming to following design codes,
- IS 456+13920-2016
- ACI 318M-2011
- ACI 318M-2014
- ACI318-2011
- ACI 318-2014
When a RAM SS file is imported in RCDC, and user opts to design for Ductility, the frame type of columns (Gravity or Lateral) that will be defined in RAM File will be automatically assigned to each column
Column & Shear wall Design_General flow_RCDC
the attached video is covering the General flow to design column and Shear walls in RCDC. Now the shear can be designed in RCDC, if modeled as Parametric surface in STAAD. it also covers various options available in redesign tool in RCDC.

Design of Column, Beam and Footing in RCDC using RAM SS files.
Update Analysis File in RCDC
Update analysis option is available for Column and Beams in RCDC. Failed member can be redesigned with revised size. Same members with updated size can be updated in Analysis file.
Eccentric Footing Design in RCDC
Design of Eccentric Footing in RCDC is explained in video. Various options to give inputs for maximum offset beyond column are shown in the video. User can design the Eccentric footing with / with-out Loss of contact is available in RCDC.
Beam Design- Axial and Biaxial Moment and Shear
Beam Design for Axial + Biaxial Forces available in RCDC.
Adding Parametric Wall in STAAD
RCDC is now capable to read finite wall element from STAAD modeled as parametric wall. The modeling of parametric wall is easy, timesaving and useful for any type of structure. RCDC will only read wall elements if they are modeled as parametric. The attached video will show you the process to create parametric wall which will be used in RCDC for design purpose.

Access Runtime Driver ( Error of "Unable to read analysis data" in RCDC)
This error of "Unable to read analysis data" appears when there can be a probability of compatibility issue between Microsoft office with the version of RCDC , to overcome this issue you can download and install the access runtime driver attached in this section whichever suits your machine requirements .
If it still dosent resolves your problem then it could be machine specific error which needs to be identified. Please raise a Service Request in this concern for detailed interrogation.
Design of Tank Structures- Tech Preview - RCDC
New module is added to RCDC9 Update 4 for design of structures with tanks (liquid retaining structures). This is added as ‘Tech Preview’ feature. The design would be based on EN 02 - 2004 + EN 03 – 2006 UK code. Design outputs like reinforcement provided and various drawings will be available. In this tech Preview release, reports like design calculation and BOQ will not be available to user.
for STAAD users, it is available with STAAD.Pro Advance license.
It would be available to user as a final design module at early 2021.

IS 13920-2016_Joint Check_Column Capacity calculation_Options in RCDC
Column Joint check (Seismic detailing as per IS 13920 - 2016) – User can select the ‘Joint Check’ to be performed by one of the two methods –
1) For Maximum Axial Force (current method) at the Joint from all combinations that include component due to Earthquake load.
2) For Axial Force from each combination that has component due to Earthquake load

Style Manager Settings in RCDC
RCDC is equipped with drawing generation capability and it is hugely appreciated by different design house. For every organization, there are some drawing standards which they want to follow in every project. The settings like font style, color, text height etc for different element and object are very crucial in that process. RCDC has a very easy way to store such settings in the form of .ddsx file and those can be used as and when necessary just by importing with few clicks.
The attached video shows the step by step process of creating such file and importing the same.
